My name is Monica, and I am a writer and dog mom living in San Jose, CA.

Formerly, I worked in marketing & communications for various high-impact organizations supporting education and underserved youth.

Now, an empathy-driven people advocate and champion for inclusion and accessibility as a UX Writer & Strategist.

Outside of UX

I strive to live up to the name "Alegre," which, in Spanish, means happy or lively!
I'm forever curious and love sharing that curiosity. Ask me how to solve a Rubik's cube.
